Thursday to Monday…Long weekend here I come

I am leaving work today at 2pm to catch a flight at 4pm.  I have been looking forward to this for a few weeks and can barely handle my excitement.  People are actually noticing that I am in a better mood.  I am not as cranky because of the not smoking anymore. I am totally done with it. 

I have been feeling really good lately and trying to expand horizons, but I think I want to be a homebody again for a few weeks.  I am starting softball next week.  I am playing with one of the other departments in our company league and am really excited about that.  I am also running a bit more and found a safe place to run if it is dark and I really don’t want to go to the gym. 

My day got a little confusing when I went to catch up on one of my blogs and nothing new is there??  Oh well, hope everyone is good. I may write about what happens this weekend, if I have time, but maybe not.

long weekend ahead

I am so excited for tomorrow.  I am going to take a long weekend and go and get some sun in South Carolina.  I decided to take PTO on Friday and I found a flight that will get me to SC by 8pm tomorrow.  It is also going to be 80 degrees on Friday, I will probably go for a run and then i will be sitting outside to get a little color.  I can’t wait.  I have been this pale gross color for a little too long.  There will also be copious amounts of alcohol consumed this weekend and I just need to figure out what I want to drink. 

I have also caught the head cold my dad had which is not fun and what am I supposed to tell the cute guy this weekend, I really want to make out with you but you will get sick in the process.  Yeah, that is going to work well.

I am the only ‘helper’ at work today, which is going to be great and  then I am heading to the other job which is fine because cash right and then if there is enough time, I am going to go for a run because I was lazy yesterday and I didn’t do anything.

I forgot…Captain put me on his Blogroll and I am very honored, mainly because I think he is way funnier than he gives him self credit for.

This Morning

So I am at work before 9am and I surprisingly feel fantastic.  I went for a run last night after I got home from work.   I made my brother, who is also my roommate, come with me for safety purposes and also because I had never been to the place we were going.  There is a state park up in Harlem right on the Hudson River, Riverbank State Park, great name right, and it is amazing.  There is a workout area that is $175 for the year, a gymnasium, soccer/football field (turf), track, 2 pools and a skating rink.  It is open until 11pm so tonight I will probably be there again because I have court tonight and had to be to work so early so I drove in, or out to work today. 

I am taking a vacation day on Friday.  I was out of town last weekend but it was not a break, I had to take care of so many things it was ridculous.  I am going to South Carolina this weekend.  I am going to get some sun, play some golf and drink some alcohol.  I also get to see the cute boy and I am so excited about that!!!  It has been a little too long since I have hung out with any of my cool good looking guys so I am excited about that.

Time to start the day.  I am starving this morning as well.  I can’t believe the lack of people here this morning.  It is so quiet.

Going to MN

I am going to Minnesota this evening.  I love my flight that leaves at 9pm and gets me into town just in time for a last call when I get to my parents.  Went running outside last night when I got home from work and I am incredibly sore today, but it feels good.  It is the most beautiful day outside today, I can’t even handle it and I am stuck in the office.  I wish that it would be possible to do my job but from a beach or something like that.  I am going to have to take PTO next Friday.  I am going to have the longest days next week and I will probably be shedding tears by the end.  Even a not so sunny day in South Carolina is better than a sit-at-my-desk-and-watch-the-minutes-tick-off-before-I-can-get-on-an-airplane day, which is a little how I feel today.

I am also still smoke free. I can’t actually believe it has been 40 days. It is like I gave it up for lent, if lent was in fast forward mode.  Weekend is here, I just need to get through today and everything should be good!!!! Eyes, Hair, Baseball, Bowling, and a concert at a bar.  Very Very full day tomorrow.

Tuesday

Today has been a good day. I am a little mad at myself though.  I was pretty awake early this morning and I should have gotten out of bed.  Did I, no.  Instead I laid there and sorta watched the news and dozed for the next 2 hours.  I could have gone for a run this morning and not had to worry about working out after work but no, I continued to sleep.  There is something to be said for having a bed that is too confortable.  I would love to invent something that makes a bed very uncomfortable at some time in the morning.

Also, my boss, who I love to work for, came in today for the first time since she started maternity leave.  She looks absolutely fabulous and I can’t wait for her to be around full time in 2 weeks. YEAH!!

Tonight I am heading to the gym and then home to watch “The Biggest Loser” finale.  I may watch it while I workour because it is the best motivation.  I also may watch the Wild and Twins games this evening or maybe there is a little Big Buck Safari in my future.  Not as good at that one, still a bigger fan of Big Buck Hunter.

 

Monday Morning

I really hate Mondays.  I have never ever liked them.  Actually, I hate mornings.  I don’t care if it is Monday or Wednesday, I hate mornings.  This morning was no different than any other and I had to drag myself out of bed.  I worked a lot this weekend but it was all worth while because I have a lot of spending money for the next two weekends for going out of town!!!!  I can’t wait.  Getting my hair done, eyes checked and baseball games in!  Then it is off to see my sister the next weekend for a little R&R and some exceptional partying.  There is also a cute guy I like to see while there so hopefully that will happen again.

Other than that, I need to clean.  I still haven’t because I hate it that much but after court tonight I need to go home and get it done.   Since I am going to be out of town the next few weekends and also because we have guests coming and they are staying in my room so it needs to be cleaned.

I am also still not smoking and the stress is getting much easier to handle thank goodness.  I also saw the trainer this weekend, which means he is back from “The Bachelorette” so there is a story there for sure.  I am sure he got drunk and made an ass of himself, because he is really good at that. 

This weekend

This weekend will consist of working again…I am off to work at the restaurant in about 10 minutes so I can play the next two weekends and not have to change spending habits.  I am going to baseball games on the 19th and 20th.  I did FINALLY attend my first baseball game of the year and it ws so much fun.  (Mainly because the Phillies shortstop could not make a play to save his life E6 anyone)

I will do laundry tomorrow before going to work so it will be like work and then I will maybe be working on Sunday morning and then Sunday night, but it is money and money is good when you want to do fun stuff.  Next week is also going to be a very long one, mainly because I have court two days, not in Queens either, BK and Manhattan, and then I am flying home late Friday night and early Monday morning I am heading back to NYC.

When others screw up…

Recently a beloved member of our team at work decided to move away.  She is a goddess and still works for the company but remotely from her home.  She was in charge of everything and knows everyone and when she left, some of her responsibilities were transferred to me.  The new responsibility was not an issue, as I was getting a little bored and love to learn new things.  I do have a few issues with how others have been treating me since this transition took place.

‘She’ doesn’t know that I know what the hell is going on.  I didn’t screw up the forms to fill out, but the person that requires us to fill out the form didn’t read the form they require us to fill out and subsenquently made me look like I didn’t do it correctly.  Sometimes when there are incompetent people who do an important job, it can bite everyone in the ass.

On another note, I saw the Aussie last night and whenever I see him, I am compelled to drink excessively, so I did.  I worked out last night so the beverages I drank made the workout a not count so now I have to work out extra hard tonight.  Also, I am getting really good at Buck Hunter and also for whatever reason, people are really pissing me off lately.  I really need to get out of this city.

I was found out

So people found me.  That is bizarre and awesome at the same time.  I am now taking my picture down and chaning my name because if people at work would read this I could get into major trouble…mainly because of the ‘her’ comments.

So I get to go out of town in 11days and I can’t wait.  This is the longest I have been in the city for a while and other than getting sick a few times, I have been working the entire time.  No rest for the insane I guess.  I have officially made enough money to pay off my state taxes and the next three shifts I am working is purely for fun.  I should use it to pay off other stuff but I need to have some fun first.

So Minnesota in 11 days and South Carolina in 18!!!  I can’t wait.  You have to get out of NYC every once in awhile because if you don’t, the city will bring you down.  I ran outside this weekend as well.  I got vitamin D…it was fantastic.  I am skipping the gym tonight because of the doing other stuff during the days this weekend, I didn’t take care of stuff that needed to be done, laundry, clean my room, stuff steel wool in a hole so the mouse can’t get back, the important things.  So I am going home tonight to take care of that stufff so my brother, who is also my roommate, can not think I am the biggest slob in the entire world.  Which I am, I am not dirty though, just messy.  There is a big difference.

On a final note, I need a new nickname.  I can’t use my real name and everything is so close.  I have never had a nickname and am not that creative.  I would love any help you can give me.  I will also tell more stories about the trainer here eventually, but I am queen of making people wait. (hee-hee, no I’m not)

More on today: ‘She’ is taking her precious time and energy doing something I know the answer to but ‘she’ won’t ask because ‘she’ doesn’t think it is my job.  This is awesome.  I can answer the question in about 3 minutes and be done with it but that is not going ot happen.  Although, it will probably come to bite me in the ass. I’m just going to play blissfully ignorant though.

 

I got to say

NOT MY JOB!!!  It was about something ‘she’ forgot to do and I know nothing about anything.  It is fantastic because NOT MY JOB.  I would never say anything like that but this time I would look more like an ass giving the wrong answer than by saying NOT MY JOB.  It felt very good because ‘she’ dropped the ball and I had to clean it up a little.

Hope all is well out in normal people land.  I am trying to figure out what is going on for the rest of the day, even though I really just want to go home and sit on the couch.
